Driving instructor training courses involve three stages of training and assessment. We will guide you through each stage using our experience and expertise.
Training to be a driving instructor requires you to develop both your knowledge, driving and teaching skills. Our driving instructor training courses cover everything you need to successfully pass all three parts of the official ADI driving instructor training qualification process.
ADI Part 1
Develops your knowledge of the Highway Code, the principles of road safety, hazard perception, car handling techniques and dealing with other road users. The assessment takes the form of two theory tests - one multiple choice and one interactive hazard perception test.

ADI Part 2
Raises the practical standard of your driving to the advanced level required by the driving instructor driving test. The assessment involves an hour-long practical exam which tests your ability to handle a vehicle safely and confidently in a range of urban and rural settings.

ADI Part 3
Prepares you to deal professionally with learner drivers of all abilities. You’ll learn how to correct pupil errors positively, build and develop rapport with students and make simple adaptations to your vehicle in the event your client needs you to take control. The assessment involves two 30 minute practical exams in which an examiner will play the role of a pupil.
